G-FELLA - INTERVIEW

Matt Racks: Your passport is certified in the streets and the industry, how did you transition into the mainstream without losing your edge on the streets?

G-Fella: I just keep it real! I am me 24/7! You can ask anyone about G and they will tell you what you see is what you get! My talent is unmatched and my originality can not be duplicated!

Matt Racks: Much like a Mob Boss you seem to be at the head of the I.H.H.M (Italian Hip-Hop Movement) how did this originate?

G-Fella: Just wanted to get all the other Italian hip hop artist out there together. We are stronger in numbers! Gotta work together toward the same goal. I just tried to lead the way and make all my recognition shine light on the movement so others can get something out of it as well! I am not a greedy selfish person, I want all to win! Everyone deserves a shot!

Matt Racks: I've noticed many of the same actors from classic mob movies are in your videos, how does it feel to have the support of "Hollywood"?

G-Fella: It feels incredible! It goes back to what I said earlier I am real and always me! People respect that! So I get a lot of love from all kinds of different people! They want to be apart of my movement!

Matt Racks: You have been successful in transitioning from Rapper to Actor in films such as "Crew" and now have your own Reality TV Show in the works...what can we expect to see on your TV Show?

G-Fella: My Tv show "A G Thing" which will air on Fuse this summer is an amazing show! I cant say much yet but all I can say is you will love it!! We are launching my own label Tackateering Music with my family!

Matt Racks: I know you were first signed to Queen Latifah, how did you make that connection and are you still in touch with the Queen?

G-Fella: I was on a talk show in the audience of the Queen Latifah show and I grabbed the mic and spit! The rest is history. Tour, records etc awesome experience! I love Dana she was amazing! Learned a lot about the business from her and Sha. We don't talk much at this point but the love will always be there!

Matt Racks: I've traveled the world and I can tell you in Europe they support G-Fella, in L.A. Ghettos they support G-Fella, Down South they support G-Fella and you're even a favorite on WorldStarHipHop...What advice would you give a new artist trying to come up in the game?

G-Fella: Work, work , work and work some more! This ain't for the weak! This is not a part time thing! If you want to make it, you have to sacrifice! I have sacrificed a lot and the reward is sweet!! Trust me I am living proof that dreams come true!

Matt Racks: I'm a big fan of the Mob Wives, (I myself am #TEAMRAMONA hahaha) so I'm familiar with the tribute songs you made for Renee Graziano and Drita Davanzo can we expect any of the girls to jump on the mic soon?

G-Fella: Well Drita already has done some rappin with French Montana. She is hip hop! The Mobwives are family! They are like my sisters! I talk to them frequent and we always support each other!

Matt Racks: Your video "No Rest" is an accurate depiction of your work ethic, you drop something new every month it seems. What is it that keeps it moving for you?

G-Fella: My drive is insane! My fuels are a bunch of things combined. My mother who passed and was my biggest fan! I promised her I would make it! Also my 2 beautiful kids and family! Plus I just know I was meant to do this and I will help a lot of people when I can! Thats just me!

G-Fella: The life is always influenced my style and my content. When you grow up around certain things, naturally it rubs off! As far as Charity I love to help people! I am a giver for sure. I am not one of those people that bury their head in the sand. I love to pass it on!

Matt Racks: Big Pun (RIP) is one of my favorite rappers of all time, you recently did a tribute to him featuring his own son Baby Pun...that must be a great honor! Did you ever get to work with Big Pun?

G-Fella: Pun was amazing! To remember him and do it with his son was monumental! His son Chris Rivers is extremely talented and at the time wasn't really doin anything and I thought it would be great to show the world how the apple didn't fall far from the tree!
